Faith. Family. Photography. Those definitely define the priorities in my life, and I do my best to keep them in that order. Oh! And the BEACH! I do make it a priority to head to the beach when at all possible!)
It has always been my passion to tell other people's stories. For more than 10 years I worked as an award-winning journalist and photographer for Hearst Newspapers. After the birth of my precious little girl (who I endearingly call 'The Queen' because she rules both my heart AND my household), I gave up deadlines for diapers and 16-hour-work days for 24/7 mommy duties.
Like all new moms, I found myself wanting to capture every moment of this new little life in pictures. I wanted to journal every milestone with my Canon. These pictures were telling her story from the very beginning. Real life memories. Preserved forever. How precious.
Now, I continue my journey of telling other people's stories soley through my photography.
My storytelling approach to photography allows me to capture moments and emotion that happen naturally. And with on-location photography, the possibilities for breathtaking portraits of you and and your family are endless!
Session times with me are never rushed. My time is devoted to you and your family to ensure a quality experience that will result in beautiful, classic photographs. I try to limit "posed" shots because I believe real personalities show when you can just "Be As You Are."
